Rainmaker is delighted to announce the launch of our new digital platform, Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB), in partnership with VisitEngland and V3 Leisure.
As mentioned in the Tourism Sector Deal from the Prime Minister on 28th June, TXGB will be one of many aspects of the sector wide strategy to boost tourism in the UK. With export tourism in Britain contributing £25 billion to the UK economy, VisitEngland and Rainmaker are pleased to launch this central exchange to finally rationalise this vast marketplace that has been hugely fragmented for a long time.
What is TXGB?
TXGB is a one-stop exchange for suppliers (e.g. accommodation, tours, events, attractions) to manage live availability, pricing and bookings across multiple distributors. It also allows distributors (e.g. online agents) to have a wide range of tourism products at their fingertips – from hotels and B&Bs, to tours and experiences.
The platform will provide an opportunity for SMEs to grow, allowing them to target new markets and customer groups, to have a greater reach and to increase bookings.
Rainmaker was appointed in March to help launch the project, with the purpose being to increase the volume, value and dispersal of export tourism, by delivering a commercial, data and technology platform for organisations to do business. This will ensure we present a solution to the global consumer in the most streamlined and effective way.
Rainmaker is extremely proud of the partnership between ourselves, V3 Leisure and VisitEngland in bringing this brilliant new platform to life.
