Today marks the start of a two year partnership between Rainmaker and HotChillee, the global cycling club, to transform and deploy a new digital platform to serve the HotChillee cycling community and club members based around the world.
The companies have worked together since 2018 to deliver the Rainmaker RollerCoaster, the world’s first 7-day gravel adventure race which takes place in South Africa in October.
Rainmaker and HotChillee kicked off the new partnership by attending Murray High School, Kwanokuthula in South Africa to distribute 180 of the 200 bicycles raised through the support of the Rainmaker RollerCoaster’s official charity, The Buffalo Foundation. The school is the finish location of the Rainmaker RollerCoaster and home to Kwano Cycling Academy, one of the charity’s beneficiaries.
Rainmaker has a reputation for being able to innovate and deliver disruptive platforms in both the public and private sector counting Visit Britain, the Food Standards Agency, Amazon and Sainsbury’s as clients.
Sven Thiele, founder of HotChillee, “Since our formal partnership leading the way in gravel events, we have been talking about major transformations within our greater community all the way from supplier to rider and especially leveraging leading edge technologies.”
Jan Joubert, founder of Rainmaker, “At Rainmaker we thrive on shaking up markets and developing disruptive solutions that enable organisations to achieve their greatest ambitions. We are incredibly excited to be partnering with HotChillee to build and implement a groundbreaking new platform with the power to disrupt the entire cycling market.”
